UPDATE: PEDESTRIAN DIES FOLLOWING MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH
As someone who enjoys riding a bike, you know that the roads aren’t always safe. Dangerous drivers can put your life at risk in an instant, just because they’re rushing to get somewhere quickly or want to talk on the phone while they drive. When you’re hurt, your lawyer can help you get the compensation you need during your recovery, so you can show the driver that you won’t stand for negligent acts.
Dangerous driving has been in the news again thanks to an accident in which a pedestrian was hit and suffered a broken neck and head injuries. A second pedestrian was killed in the same crash. This story is an update of one brought to you earlier last month, in which it was expected that both pedestrians had not suffered life-threatening injuries.
According to the news, two people, an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man had been walking across the intersection of Marine and Victoria Drives when a while car struck them. After the car hit the pair, it collided with a bus stop and street lamp pole, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
Emergency medical care arrived on the scene and rushed the pair of pedestrians to the hospital, but in an update, it was reported that the 18-year-old woman’s injuries were too severe to treat. She passed away at the hospital. The 20-year-old man is still recovering from serious head and neck injuries.
In cases like these, families can seek compensation for the injuries to a loved one or the loss of a loved one. Your lawyer can help you understand if you can make a wrongful death claim for the loss of your loved one.
